PORTFOLIO

Beginning of January meant deadline for university applications, and I sent five.

The week after the deadline a dozen of e-mails arrived and I have since then been researching and working on a small portfolio that a few of the schools requested. I actually have no idea how big of a deal the portfolio is since you have to make one before even starting the courses but as the perfectionist I am I simply can’t send away anything I’m not pleased with. In other words, I’ve been working really hard the last couple of days combined with a lot of hours at work.

#GIRLBOSS

I’ve only managed to read a few chapters this far but Sophia Amoruso sure is the definition of a girl boss. This book really proves that you can do whatever you want as long as you are willing to work really hard for it.

Had almost forgot how nice it is for the eyes to wear reading glasses while watching TV, working on the computure and ofcourse, while reading.

INTERIOR

Interior and decoration is a big weakness of mine and old buildings like this one never let me down. Big columns, wooden floors, large windows & decorated ceilings, you name it and I’m sold.

NEW IN

A few bits I bought during last week.

LoréalParis Clean Definition Mascara, reading glasses, 2015 calendar & Green Marble Cutting Board. I will also receive the Green Marble Mortar that matches the cutting board for my birthday. Green marble is a bit more unusual and I find it a bit more interesting than the white marble that seems to be everywhere.

FUR BALL

Cold walk with my father and this little fur ball earlier today.

It’s our friend’s dog and they don’t always have time to go home and go for a walk with him in the middle of the day on Mondays so my father offered to go for a walk with him today and since I didn’t had to be at work until one I decided to tag along. When you don’t have a dog yourself you always treasure these opportunities, I love dogs.

POP BUBBLES FIZZ

To begin yesterday’s brunch my father’s cousine had ordered two bottles of champagne as a birthday gift for her mother.

Compared to others around my age I would say that I don’t drink. But, to be completely honest I do drink a glass of wine once or twice a month since I really do appreciate the flavor of a good wine with a nice dinner. Even though the clock hardly had passed 12am the champagne suited the exclusive Grand Hotel brunch very well and the man who served it was so nice that my grandmother almost fell in love with him.

WHAT I WORE TODAY

Today I went to the old Grand Hotel in the city to celebrate my father’s aunts 70th birthday with champagne and brunch.

I wore my Whyred Winona Knit, cigarette pants (similar), New Look Boyfriend Coat (similar), Vans Old Skool & my double pearl earrings (similar). On the picture is also the Zara bag that I received from my parents as a Christmas gift, it got beautiful purple lining.

41 and still going strong, happy birthday to the legend who is Kate Moss.

Bought this big & that doesn’t fill any function at all.

It’s not going to be placed on my table but on my floor next to my mirror but it photographed poorly there. It’s a bit weird and as mentioned it doesn’t really fill any function but it sure does look nice and gives something extra to my room. I got this urge to redecorate too often and it’s an item that is easy to move around.

I LOVE IT

Célines latest poster girl Joan Didion, photographed by Juergen Teller. This picture was all over Instagram last night and I get why, it’s great. I always fall in love with Célines campaigns because of the pictures and choice in models and this isn’t making me love the way-too-expensive-for-me label even less. (On the other hand, I really don’t fancy Calvin Klein’s campaign with Justin Beiber as much.)
